The Studio co-creator Seth Rogen accepted the award for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy at the 2026 Golden Globes on Sunday, Jan. 11
During his speech, Rogen, who also stars in the series, shouted out the show's crew who 'don't get invited to this'
The other nominees in the category were Abbott Elementary, The Bear, Hacks, Nobody Wants This and Only Murders in the Building
Seth Rogen shouted out the hard-working crew of his show The Studio while accepting Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy at the 2026 Golden Globes.
“We shoot our show on these long, continuous takes, and part of the reason I wanted to do that is it doesn’t work unless the whole crew really comes together to make it work,” explained Rogen, 43, who kissed his wife Lauren Miller Rogen on the way to the stage at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday, Jan. 11.
“And so I really want to thank our crew, most of whom don’t get invited to this, but they should,” added Rogen, who won Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy earlier in the night.
Rogen then named behind-the-scenes staffers, including the cinematographer, the costume designer, props handler, the caterer and others.
"Truly without all of you, this show would not be makeable,” he added. “So thank you very much. We couldn’t appreciate it more. We’re so excited to start shooting the next season in one week from today. So thank you all very much. Goodbye.”
The other nominees in the category were Abbott Elementary, The Bear, Hacks, Nobody Wants This and Only Murders in the Building.

Ike Barinholtz, Seth Rogen, Catherine O'Hara and Chase Sui Wonders in 'The Studio'
The Studio premiered in March 2025 and stars Rogen as a movie-obsessed newly-appointed head of an embattled Hollywood film studio who can't seem to reckon his love for film with business. The cast also includes Catherine O'Hara, Kathryn Hahn, Ike Barinholtz and Chase Sui Wonders.
In March, Rogen opened up to PEOPLE about the inspiration behind the show, which has been renewed for a second season: "We are believers in the magic of the movies and we know nothing else. And so for us, there is amazing potential in Hollywood, we just hope that it is used properly. But we love movies and the show itself was an opportunity to kind of bring that to life cinematically while telling these stories."

'Abbot Elementary'
Abbott Elementary has been a fan favorite since its premiere in 2021. The ABC series follows a group of educators at a Philadelphia public school and stars Quinta Brunson (who is also the creator), Tyler James Williams, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Janelle James, Lisa Ann Walter, Chris Perfetti and William Stanford Davis.
During a 2024 interview with The New Yorker, Brunson shared that the show is inspired by her own life in many ways: “Six different characters on Abbott are six different ways of showing people who I am,” she explained.
Since its debut, Abbott Elementary has earned 10 Golden Globe nominations and taken home three wins.

Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri on 'The Bear'
The Bear tells the story of fine dining chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White) and his fight to keep his struggling Chicago restaurant open with the help of the sandwich shop's former employees — including his cousin Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), chef Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), pastry chef Marcus (Lionel Boyce) and sous chef Tina (Liza Colón-Zayas).
In July, the FX series was picked up for a fifth season after the season 4 finale left fans questioning the show’s future.
"The Bear continues to be a fan favorite worldwide, and their response to this season — as seen through incredibly high viewership — has been as spectacular as any of its previous seasons,” FX Chairman John Landgraf said in a press release announcing the news. “Year in and year out, Chris Storer, the producers, cast and crew make The Bear one of the best shows on television, and we are excited that they will continue to tell this magnificent story.”
This marks The Bear’s 15th nomination. It has previously won five times.

Hannah Einbinder, Jean Smart in 'Hacks'
HBO’s beloved series Hacks, which took home the win in this category in 2025, concluded with season 4 in May. It followed the complex dynamic between comedian Deborah (Jean Smart) and writer Ava (Hannah Einbinder) as they navigate a generational gap in attempts to revamp Deborah's career.
While accepting the award at last year’s ceremony, Paul W. Downs, who served as both co-creator and a star of the show, gushed over its success.
"We are so lucky to get to tell this story," he said. "And you know, since language was created, we’ve all been telling stories and we're honored to be in this room with all of these storytellers."
Smart and Einbinder are both nominated this year as well, adding to Hacks’ 12 total nominations — four of which it won.

Adam Brody, Timothy Simons, Kristen Bell and Jackie Tohn in 'Nobody Wants This'
Nobody Wants This is a Netflix rom-com loosely inspired by creator Erin Foster's real-life love story. It follows the unlikely romance of hot rabbi Noah (Adam Brody) and sex podcaster Joanne (Kristen Bell), as well as a complicated dynamic between Joanne's sister Morgan (Justine Lupe), Noah's brother Sasha (Timothy Simons) and his wife, Esther (Jackie Tohn).
In October, Foster told PEOPLE how she decides what parts of her own experience to incorporate into the series amid its massively successful second season.
"Really, it's anything that feels relevant to the show or transcends my life into the writer's room and really resonates for people, then it's the right fit,” she explained. “But if it doesn't resonate and there's something different, someone else's experience that resonates for me and for the room, then that wins."
Brody and Bell are both up for awards this year for their leading roles in the show, bringing Nobody Wants This to a total of the six Golden Globe nominations since its 2024 premiere.

Steve Martin, Selena Gomez and Martin Short in 'Only Murders in the Building'
Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building, which aired its fifth season in September, stars Selena Gomez, Martin Short and Steve Martin. Other recurring cast members include Michael Cyril Creighton, Jackie Hoffman, Da'Vine Joy Randolph and Meryl Streep.
The series chronicles three New Yorkers who come together over their love of true crime podcasts and end up finding themselves at the center of more than a few true crimes. Its renewal for season 6 — which is set to take place in London — was announced the day the season 5 finale dropped.
Shortly after, Gomez thanked viewers for their support on behalf of the entire cast: "I want to thank our community and fans of @onlymurdershulu for allowing us to even have a season 6! We are eternally grateful we can bring any of you any sort of joy. My deepest gratitude from Steve, Marty and myself."
Only Murders in the Building has received 20 nominations in its time on the air. Gomez, Martin and Short are all also nominated this year for their performances in the show.
