Ever since Ani DiFranco released her eponymous debut album in 1990 (on her own record label, which she founded the previous year at the age of just 19), the acclaimed singer-songwriter has been doing things her own way...and fans still can't get enough.
As the 55-year-old announced in a recent Instagram post, she'll be heading out on her 2026 North American “Spirit of Love” tour this spring, with an impressive number of shows scheduled across the U.S. and Canada.
The tour kicks off in Jackson, Mississippi on April 22nd, followed by a set at New Orleans Jazz Fest on April 24th. She’ll continue the run through cities including Savannah, Nashville, Baltimore and Providence, with the first leg of the tour ending in Port Chester, New York on May 10. The tour's final dates start in Vancouver on Aug. 1, after which DiFranco will play a handful of other shows before wrapping things up in Sonoma, California on Aug. 16.
DiFranco will be joined on this tour by Tennessee singer-songwriter Valerie June, whose sixth album, Owls, Omens and Oracles, came out in 2025.

DiFranco looks to have a busy year ahead, as she's also releasing a book called The Spirit of Ani with co-author Lauren Coyle Rosen.
"The Spirit of Ani is a captivating journey of intimate reflections with DiFranco, a pathbreaking, highly original artist of our time," a statement on DiFranco's website explained.
"In this powerful collaborative work, the legendary musician/feminist/activist is in conversation with cultural anthropologist Lauren Coyle Rosen. In these exchanges, Ani is remarkably open about her creativity, spirituality, personal experiences, and evolving consciousness. She is vulnerable and unapologetic, offering an unprecedented window into her fiercely prolific journeys."
Lucky fans can catch the Grammy-winning musician and author at a select number of book events in March.
